GPU not getting enough power?

My PC spec
CPU : i7 8700k
Ram : 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro
GPU : Gigabyte RTX 3080

Board : ASUS ROG MAXIMUS X HERO

PSU : CORSAIR - RM850x

 

I noticed when running a benchmark that the most power my 3080 draws is around 212W max and my board is 365W. I thought the 3080 should go up to 320W max. Is there something wrong here?

Transients are an issue with the higher-tier cards. 850W might just barely cut it, but I'd recommend a 1000W for that card.

I don't badmouth others' input, I'd appreciate others not badmouthing mine. *** More below ***

It's fine. 2 8-pin PCIE = 2x 150W = 300W

Add 75W from the slot; 375W.

Your card drew 366W.

It's a gigabyte vision 3080 version 1 I think. I'm not running any OC on it.

GPU-Z.... the board power is the one to watch, not GPU CHIP (Core only without memory/fans/etc)
The board is operating at 366watts as per spec.
If you had a 320w TBP you'd have less performance. (TBP - Total Board Power)

 

My OC 2080Ti Graphics Score 16 229, your stock RTX3080 score seems appropriate for what it is.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

I can't find the exact specs of that card, but judging by the results I'd say the other comments are correct - board power is on spec for the GPU.

And, also worth mentioning, the CPU is a heavy bottleneck to that card.
