I have a laptop with windows 7 and i cleared the hard rive

If i used a CD could i re install windows and use the same product key ?

Yes, but only if you would have deactivated the key I believe.

If you didn't do that you can contact Microsoft.

You might not even have to do that. I've been really o.c.d. about reinstalling my OS in the past and was running tests to establish efficiency of various RAID arrays recently and must have re-installed Windows 7 at least five or six times on different drives throughout that process. I didn't have to call Microsoft once. I just input my product key and set it to activate Windows automatically once on-line.

How would i get the ISO ?

If installing lots of times do not activate windows allow it to be done on-line (that way you get three days).  If the system then reports 'invalid  key' simply phone them (on the number provided[freephone/toll free];it's a recording) type in some numbers and bingo

If it was running 64 bit before then yeah.

Are you sure, the top one says x86 isn't that 32 bit

Sorry I meant the second one. xD the one that says x64. x86 is 32-bit.

Yep. Somewhat counter intuitively X86 is 32 bit X64 is 64 bit.
