So I recently just bought my pc parts I will send the list below.

https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/B2RNBj

I know it's not the best price efficient or performence, but it's what my friend gave me.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Okay, so onto the pc; i followed many tutorials on what cables go where, what to plug into, etc, but my pc still doesnt boot. I have turn on the psu switch, and plugged in the coord.

Although, the tutorials i were folling where somewhat out dated.

In my case I have coords which were not included in the tutorial.

if you need anymore information lmk, or any pictures of cables, and if you could let me know where to plug in everything such as audio, +power, - power, etc. As Im not as confident in that tutorial anymore...

Please lmk if you need more info.

my bad its been edited.

Thanks.

Check to make sure your RAM sticks are in slots 2 and 4?? Try checking with one at a time, starting with slot 2.

Probably an outdated BIOS. You'll need an older CPU to update it, possibly all the way back to Ryzen 2000.

Does the motherboard have a sticker saying what BIOS version? Or maybe it says it on the box?

on the motherboard boxs it says amd ryzen 5000 desktop ready

The 5500 was released later than the other Ryzen 5000 CPUs. 5500 requires BIOS version F63, and most other 5000 series require F61. If you can find what version is installed that could help.

also where would i plug this in, i think its a fan coord, but i have no idea where to put it. (i have 3 of these coords)

image.jpg

Simply check where it came out from, if it's from a fan, it's a fan cable. a 3 pin (Non PWM, PWM version is 4 pin) one.
If it's PC case fan cable, it plugs to fan header on your motherboard that aren't labeled CPU_FAN, If it's CPU cooler fan cable, it plugs to CPU_FAN header.

Refer to your motherboard manual for where the locations of the fan headers. (Page 3 and 4 of the manual is a good place to start)
The headers most likely will be 4 pin, it can accept 3 pin female one, they are keyed, so align the keying then slide them in.

For most connectors, the information is in the manual for the motherboard / AIO / pc case / PSU

Seems so, you will have to use either a splitter cable or a fan hub if you want to connect more than 1 case fan.

Or use a 3pin to molex/sata adapter and power the rest of the fan through Molex/Sata (meaning you can't control their speed, they will run at 100% all the time)
IIRC, 1 fan header can handle around 1 amp, so enough for 3 fans.

What is the brand and model number of the fans ?

they're the stock fans in my case which you can check in my pc case.

Damn, that case doesn't come with PWM fans i guess.

Oh well, yeah, you need splitter / fan hub. And possibly 3pin extension cable too if the inbuilt cable length is still not enough even after adding splitter length.

A 3 way splitter.

Additional fans after 3 gonna have to use 3pin to molex/sata adapter & run at 100% all the time i guess.

Technically 1 header can handle current pull from 4 fans (1 standard fan is around 0.25amp), but I personally prefer to leave a bit of a headroom instead of putting the header to it's max limit. But, you do you

You'll be controlling the fan curve through DC mode in BIOS.
