From time-to-time, my cousin's computer (more precisely, his GPU) stops providing image (my display suggests that it is no longer receiving a signal via HDMI). The sound continues to play as normal, so the computer does not appear to be crashing (still checking whether that holds true).

To get it back to working, we have to reboot the computer and reinstall the GPU drivers (as they seem to be missing).

The issue is intermittent in a sense that it may take more than an hour of usage to manifest and then the workaround mentioned above seems to be "resolving" the issue for some time.

I'll try to check on the temps, but even if that was the issue, it does not explain the fact we have to reinstall the drivers.

My specs are:

  • Windows 10 Pro 64 bit
  • ASUS TUF GAMING B460M-PLUS (v1301, not the latest)
  • Intel Core i5-10600K (stock, underclocked a bit)
  • 16GB 3000MHz DDR4 RAM G.Skill Aegis CL16 (2x8GB)
  • ASUS ROG Strix RX 470 OC 4GB GDDR5
  • 500GB Crucial SSD M.2 P1
  • Cooler Master 500W Elite V3
