Hi guys,

So, I'm just wondering, what is the recommended minimum amount of case that you can put in a case and still have a sufficient amount of airflow?

Thanks in advance for your help guys. :D

EDIT: To help you out I will include my finalised build configuration.

depends on how much components you stuff in the case.

Are you running SLI graphic cards in a mATX case?

Two, maybe one, but with two you could have one intake and one exhaust.

So 3 should be ample, yes? Even if you're going to possibly overclock the CPU down the road?

I usually do twice as many intakes as outputs. So if you have 0 outputs, 1 intake. Filtered of course. The sheer amount depends on the layout of the case.

The ideal size is 120-140mm as fans larger than that hit diminishing returns from the increased size - especially in static pressure - due to blade wobble. The big advantage to larger fans is less perceived noise as they are a lower frequency hum rather than a mid-high pitch whine

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

Yep, maybe two intake and one exhaust. I think 4 would be the perfect amount. You could go without case fans, your CPU and GPU cooler should be good enough, but obviously having some doesn't hurt lol

Depends on the components and scenario.

There are systems that use no fans and rely on passive cooling and there are systems decked out with them.

I've included my build above so that you guys can get a better idea of how many case fans that you believe I would need. The build is 80% for video editing with the occasional 20% for gaming (usually just racing games, mostly Need For Speed World).

You could just have 2 intakes I guess, because you can always have your CPU cooler exhausting out the back of the case as well.
