My First ( sort of ) build

MadManMarsBar

So before i get into the PC itself a little bit of back story

so from a young age i have been around Computers as my mum has always had a decent PC for the year and when i started to get some money i started to save so i could build my own PC , i always said to my mum i would have a more powerful PC than she has one day , she obviously took no notice lol , i saved for a few months and i built this : post-15940-0-50878200-1398655058_thumb.j post-15940-0-66991200-1398655084_thumb.j

, it was a decent PC and enough to play games like BF3 and Borderlands 2 at the time

unfortunately i was bitten by ' The Bug' and i started to upgrade , the First thing i bought was a new case and with being on a budget i didn't really have a big choice for case , but a friend of mine had a zalman Z11 that he used for about 2 weeks and i bought it for £30 (half price ) , after that tragedy struck and my PSU went off like a 12 gauge shotgun and took my CPU and Motherboard out with it :/ , so i started saving again , all i had left from the PC was a case , RAM , GPU , and my HDD's , My First purchase was an FX-8350 for £141 , i went with it because i knew it would be enough for streaming and playing games , in addition to the 8350 i bought a new Motherboard ,so i got an Asus M5A99FX R2.0 motherboard for £75 , And a CX750M for £68 , so after that i was up and running again , and i was really pleased with my upgrades that i had done , but after BF4 came out i was a bit disappointing about how the GTX660 was handling the game , so i started looking at better GPU's but with being on a tight budget again i went for another GTX660 and went Sli, SLi has its problems but it was the quickest ans easiest way to get the GPU power i wanted , after that i bought some nice LED strips from ebay for £5 and this is how my PC sits now

as for future upgrades i want to get a better case like an R4 or corsair AIR 540 , the Zalman case is a good case but the cable management sucks a bit , even with a semi modular PSU

Thanks for looking at my PC :D
