What laptop do you have? Do you want additional storage in said laptop bag or is it purely just for the laptop?

 

I would just do a search on Amazon. There's very little differentiating the off brands and name brands when it comes to this stuff

My personal pick for laptop bags are Targus's DrifterTrek series.

I don't even know if you can get these still.  This is my 3rd Targus laptop bag, and 2nd backpack.  The only reason I upgraded was because I wanted the pass-thru charging port.  I realize that's not a big deal for some people, but it is something I appreciate having.  I kinda wish I'd gotten the 17.3" instead of the 15.6", but still.  Lots of padding throughout.  Phone pocket on the top outside can be used for sunglasses just as effectively.
