Absolute hot garbage of a system. Huge ripoff for 500$

The cpu is old and even back then was just flat out bad. Of all those games that cpu could only do 60fps or better in gta v and cs:go.

To put it into perspective the fx is only 25% faster in single core performace. So basically if you oc your core 2 you have a better gaming cpu. The fx is that bad.

For 500$ a ryzen second gen systen with a similarly powerfull gpu should be possible

To add to @jaslion's comment, the GTX 970 also have the bad 0.5GB VRAM, which when used can harm performance A LOT and I know this from experience - I once had a GTX 970 SLI build and back then I played in 2560x1080p which was just enough for Battlefield 1 to use more than 3.5GB VRAM and oh man it stuttered so f*cking bad. When usage was under 3.5GB VRAM, everything was actually okay though. But today we easily push above 3.5GB VRAM, so I would stay away from a GTX 970 unless you got a killer deal.

True thats also an issue with this pc.

Overall its at best a 250$ pc since just about everything in it is obsolete and cant game or can barely play games anymore.

The 970's issue can be fixed by lowering settings but the fx8370 will be a problem no matter what

Absolutely true, to both statements!

Trash system dont bother, def not worth 500$, more like 150-200$. Find a diff deal with used ryzen as that will completely annihilate fx (1st gen ryzen is like 2x faster than fx)

You can also sell your parts to add more $ to the budget but at most that pc is worth 40$, q9550 + p35 ds3 is only worth ~20$. So you may consider just having it around as a secondary pc cause its basically worthless

After some searching, I found this Gpu: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB Cpu: Intel Core i5-6400 2.70GHz Ram 16GB DDR4  Motherboard ASUS B150M PRO GAMING PSU corsair VS450 (450W)

A lot better but still not good enough. The 4core i5 is not gonna be a good time for modern games even the best cpu on the platform is now basically min spec for games and soon wont be enough either.

Not a pc worth investing in. Look into 10th gen intel or 1st gen or newer ryzen.
