Help did I do this wrong please help me

I dont know what happened  but I got the arctic lga 1700 upgrade kit and it doesn't work is it the freezer ii model or the freezer esports 34 model because if it is how did I mess it up

The cooler needs to be touching the cpu, not hovering over it.

There's two upgrade kits on for arctics freezer ii aio upgrade kit 

And the other is for the cooler that I have the arctic freezer esports 34 duo upgrade kit

Are you certain that you used the correct bolts and followed the instructions properly?

Those mounting brackets usually come with 2 different sets of screws (?) and you have to be sure that you used the correct one.

So, just by looking at it, I would say you take those side brackets off, put the cooler on the CPU, and the edge of the brackets fits into those slots on the cooler. That's just with me eyeballing it though.  I haven't read the manual.  Do the brackets line up with the grooves in the top of the plate?

Yes they line up I think it's the stand offs that are wrong I probably got the wrong arctic lag 1700 upgrade kit

I got the article freezer ii lga 1700 kit It looks like I got the upgrade kit from memory express (Canadian version of micro center) today

The mounting rails go on top of the cooler not under it. Thats why it has that rail in the metal and the hole for the bolt there.
