I think my external hdd is dying can i save it/fix it

Ok so i have 1 tb external hdd from verbatim

And today i noticee (just few  mins ago) it dissapeard so i reconected it but it got detected for a second than dissapeard(repeat) and idk why is it happebing hdd is overall amazing this is first time it happebd i hope it is not dying (os is win 11)

there is no way to fix a hdd as u need an environment which is very clean and which has no dust because if some small dust particles or debris touched it, it would stop working I recommend u back up ur files an a another storage device preferably an SSD

That is the problem it doesn't stay detected/connected long enough all of above hapens in less than a second

if you're lucky that's an iffy cable.

 

if you're unlucky, that's a dead drive, and you're SOL.

Update i dont think it is hdd anymore its either the cable or the jack of hdd as i just noticed cable is quite wiggly i will try another cable tomorow i believe i have one from my dads old hdd or amth but i think that that one is only usb 2.0 while this cable was 3.0

Mate i found out another thing so my hdd seems to freze my bios and windows now... Wtf.. How does that even work..
