Can a workstation dc5700 run a intel q9400?

hello, recently an uncle of mine literally found a dc5700 small form factor workstation in the trash and i then i buyed an intel q9400 to upgrade it and then sell it with some other upgrades, as the socket was a lga 775 and the cpu was cheap i choose it rather than a q6600 due to the aparent better performance for just a few bucks more so i did it but when it arrived the cpu didnt work i then check the other upgrades and aparently either my motherboard cannot support it due to an old bios version or it just cannot run in this motherboard, i checked after that the q6600 was indeed compatible but find almost nothing on the q9400
