Elden Ring negative fps

Hello,

My friend recently bought a new gaming pc:

i7 11th gen

16gb Ram

RTX3050

 

We tried to play to elden ring, we put all the setting to low, and he was on perma 15-20 fps, shouldn't his pc be able to handle it atleast at low no?

Is it a fresh install of windows? If no reinstall windows. If it is DDU the Driver(s) and reinstall, if that fails use an older driver.

Would using the elden ring game ready driver from nvidia boost performance by this much tho? because right now it's litteraly at 14fps for some reason, i can't imagine a driver downgrade could get it to 60fps but I won't be mad if I'm wrong, also i can't really reinstall windows so easily so would it really fix the issue because it's gonna take over a month to backup the stuff we need to do the reinstall

I just had a thought, could it be the cpu turbo bottlenecking the game? I read that elden ring is very cpu intensive aswell, i don't know the exact model of the i7-11th gen but could this be a thing that's happening?

Is Elden Ring the only game giving low fps?

Doing a DDU then downgrading graphics was what did it for me, I'm still so confused how just an update can add like 80+fps, went from 14 fps on ultra low, to 70-80 on high.
