EK Lian Li O11 XL Distro Plate vs Corsair

ialikw

Hello,

I still can't decide between which liquid cooling I will be going with. Either use the EK Lian Li O11 XL distro plate or the Corsair Hydro X XD7.

EK-Quantum Reflection PC-O11D XL D5 PWM D-RGB - Plexi – EK Webshop (ekwb.com)

Hydro X Series XD7 RGB Pump/Reservoir Combo — Black (corsair.com)

Case: Lian Li O11 XL ROG

i9-12900k

ROG Z690 Maximus Extreme

64GB DDR5 Corsair Dominator

I'm leaning towards the Corsair because its RGB works perfect - whereas if I go with EK it will use Armoury Crate which is very shitty but it looks really good by replacing the case's front panel.

As for performance, I'm not sure.

For now, I just want to cool the CPU - my current GPU doesn't have any compatible waterblocks plus the 4xxx series should be around soon so I'm waiting.

Any ideas?

I personally have and use the EK distro plate you listed. And i would never change it. I use ICUE to control everything. I have had zero issues with the plate. everything is thiccc tight, water flowing like a beast.

not to mention that hydro x is ugly as a dogs butt. while this thing shines bright and is super pretty!

it will also allow for expansion for when you get a GPU that you can get a block for 🙂
