HDMI and MTP/Tranfer Files from Phones simultaneously possible?

Hey so i was wondering if it would be possible for a mobile device (android/iphone) to produce a video output and data connection to a computer simultaneously using any sort of dongles?

 

I have tried a few usb-c hub/dongles for this and i was able to get the video out from those but none of them allowed the phone to be picked up the on the computer as how it would usually do without the hub/dongle in between (i.e. for transferring files, getting an adb connection, etc). Does anyone here know about any hub/dongle or even any other way to get both the hdmi connection and the transfer files working simultaneously?

These dongles switch the phone into host mode so that you can hook peripherals to it, so it's not going to be operating as a "device" as is needed to connect to a computer. So won't work.
