Ok, so this has been happening for a while now, but ever game/application I run has screen tearing. Hell, scrolling through youtube i can see screen tearing, it's always in the same position (relative to the size and location of the game/application), it is always about 2/3rds of the way down the game/application.

I've tried forcing vsync in the nvidia control panel and that doesn't help. The only thing i can think of is that there is something wrong with my gpu and/or monitor.

My Build

GPU: MSI GTX 1080 ARMOUR | CPU: i7 9700k | Ram: 16gb 3200mhz Motherboard: ASUS Maximus XI Gene | Storage: 2x 1TB NVME 1x 500GB NVME 1x 120GB NVME | Case: Corsair 570X

Since when did this happen and did you change something right before it started (like updating the graphicsdrivers, overclocking the graphicscard, etc.)

I can't remember exactly, but i'm fairly sure it started after i reformatted my pc.

And which browser do you use?

Firefox, but it happens in every single game/application. I've tried, chrome, ie, safari and opera all with the same results.

Yeah, that's a good point @Wi RoZ. Sometimes when you update to a newer driver it can cause more problems then it solves. If this is the case you may have to roll back your driver to the previous one.

ON A 7 MONTH BREAK FROM THESE LTT FORUMS. WILL BE BACK ON NOVEMBER 5th.

So browser is not problem related, the refreshrate is just fine. Just in case, do you use Win7 without the Aerotheme enabled?

I have it enabled.
