Go to solution Solved by The_Jonkler,

Panic over phew thanks for the help it ended up being the most wierd thing. I tried to boot to safe mode and it said configuring windows or something and then it restarted and booted as normal. I may not understand but I'm just happy it's back

So today i went to boot up my pc and it blue screened, fair enough i thought and i restarted it and it happened again and i looked at the error and it said inaccessable boot device and then  I tried to use automatic repair and still its the same. please help my whole life is on that ssd.

what kind of boot device, HDD or SDD ?

Did your UEFI reset recently ?

Try switching between IDE and AHCI mode in UEFI and try booting with both settings.

Yes I had to install an os on my laptop but the boot sequence couldn't be updated apparently so I installed it on a different ssd in uefi mode because that's what my laptop uses I switched it back to legacy and it didn't boot to my normal boot device

Make backups of your data whilst it's working. I really cringe when I see people say stuff like "help, my whole life is on there", if it's important data, always back it up.

Make a ventoy live usb or just directly burn a live linux iso like fedora onto a pendrive, make sure your device is in ACHI mode and copy nvme0n1 to another storage device. Don't try to boot it up, you're straining it more than it needs to be. Also while copying data, copy imp data first you don't know when exactly it's going to fail to prioritise. It you have any further doubts you can comment here or chat with me u/ayaanmag
