Hi, I'm from the UK and looking at an LG C1 to replace my old monitor.

I've found a good deal on one but it's a OLED48C1PUB which as far as I can tell is a US spec one.

I'm struggling to find details on what difference that makes exactly.

It looks like it's the same panel and feature set.

Could any TV expert let me know if this will make apps like Netflix lock me out for being in the wrong region.

Thanks for the help!

Also this if my first post on the forum so let me know if this is in the wrong place or if there is a specific format for asking for help.

It won't lock you out of apps.

Is this sold by a UK/EU retailer, or is it second-hand? If it's sold by a UK/EU retailer I'd say it's probably fine, if not I'd say don't.

The LG C1 has an attached power cord that isn't multi-voltage, so the US model has a 120V Type A (US) plug. If it's a retailer in a 240V country I'd suspect it to just be a model number mix-up, and you could return it fairly easily if that's not the case. If it's used I'd bet on it being someone that has the wrong TV trying to get someone else to pay for their mistake.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It is being sold by a UK retailer although a very small one.

If it has a US cable would an adapter work?

It's an insane discount they're offering so I hope it's not one of those cases "If it looks too good to be true, then it probably isn't true".

You could probably ask them. When they say it comes with the right power cord but it doesn't you at least have some ground to stand on when it comes to returning it.

Other than the power cable the differences are minor to none. It could be that you get firmware updates sooner or later than UK models, or german models often come with 2 tuners and stuff like this. The core functionality, performance and picture quality is unchanged.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.
