I have one question: I have this motherboard B460M DS3H V2 (rev. 1.0). In specifications it says this:

  • Intel® Core™ i9/i7 processors:
  • Support for DDR4 2933/2666/2400/2133 MHz
  • Intel® Core™ i5/i3/Pentium®/Celeron® processors:
  • Support for DDR4 2666/2400/2133 MHz
  • 4 x DDR4 DIMM sockets supporting up to 128 GB (32 GB single DIMM capacity) of system memory
  • Dual channel memory architecture
  • Support for ECC Un-buffered DIMM 1Rx8/2Rx8 memory modules (operate in non-ECC mode)
  • Support for non-ECC Un-buffered DIMM 1Rx8/2Rx8/1Rx16 memory modules
  • Support for Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) memory modules

I have i5 11400f CPU and TeamGroup Elite 1x16 3200MHZ. I would like to buy a new ones Patriot Viper Steel 2x8 4000mhz with Samsung Memory.

Could this be possible? my current Ram is working at 3200mhz but the Motherboard Web Says: Max 2666 so... is it possible i can buy this new rams and activate the XMP to run at 4000mhz?

The B460 chipset in general doesn't support memory overclocking, but since the 11400F is rated at 3200MHz that's what it will do at most on that board.

Also, just saying, those Patriot Viper Steel kits, while great kits for overclocking since they're really cheap and good B die, have relatively useless XMP profiles since a lot of CPUs and boards can't enable them in general. Even if you could enable XMP with that kit, there's not guarantee that the XMP would even work.

Ohh thanks brother!

Is there any RAM at 3200mhz that you recommend? i would like to change to Dual Channel, currently i have 1x16 and in some games that I play the performance is very noticeable u.U

Depends on how much you want to spend. The cheap 2x8 3200MHz CL16 kits are fine, it's not a bad idea to buy a 3200MHz CL16 16GB stick and just upgrade to 32GB that way, If you want the absolute best, 3200MHz CL14 kits exist, but they're usually really expensive and only really make sense if you want to manually overclock your RAM.
