Best budget brand TV's 2022

I am needing to replace a TV and at the moment, I just want to get a decent budget TV, as the location the TV will be going will not be used a ton. Want something with a decent picture, from a fairly reliable brand. Dont want to replace TV's once a year. lol

TCL. Inexpensive, snappy well made interface, well made. Won a 32S301 in a charity raffle 2017/2018 and is still going like a champ and has pretty nice picture at 720p (minor fine tuning adjustments based on the room and lighting and such)

One thing to put out in the front - BRAND is NOT what you should look at, it's device model + knowing your use case.

From a relatively narrow viewing range (so 3ish people next to each other looking DIRECTLY at the TV - so not good if the TV is angled), for people who aren't really gaming on the display - the Hisense U6G has pretty good image quality for the $$$

As hinted at, TCL tends to do well on value and they're generally a good all-rounder but YMMV based on what you're doing and what your budget and desired screen size are.

RTINGs has an overall rating for each display but also touches on specific use cases. As an FYI RTINGs has a lot of people there who were traditional "heavy weights" in the PC review area and Linus recommends them.
