What makes you think your SSD only has that much life left?

I'd probably say yes, that's what it is, but it'd be a lot easier if you just list your motherboard model so we can be sure.

IMO there are cheaper alternatives to the 970 line that are just as good.

i m not sure if the info is true indeed but i tried multiple software for hdd and ssd health, anyways i did check those because i started having corrupted files on that ssd and i also saw slowdowns, when i saw that even with clean windows install it happens i knew i had to buy something
the motherboard is lenovo 36e7
what would you recommend then that is reliable and will last me a decent amount of time?

Get this: https://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-Internal-Maximum-Performance-SB-ROCKET-NVMe4-500/dp/B07XFGPFZK/

$56 after the coupon

Alternatively (if you have the budget) spring for the 1TB version at $91, you'll thank yourself later.

Ah. You'll have to do some digging then, to make sure it's an NVME slot and that it's not just wired for SATA.

@RadiatingLight gave an excellent recc. Also recommend getting the 1TB.

If it's wired only for SATA it won't work with NVME. M.2 slots can be used for NVME, SATA, or IIRC they can also be used only for a WiFi card.

also on the port i see a little M written on it

That's for M Key, which means it's PCIe (NVME) -- That's good and means that the Sabrent I recommended will work.
