3080ti psu

hi i will be upgrading my gpu in the next few days with  asus rog strix 3080ti now i already have seasonic focus gx 850w psu will it be enough ?

keep in mind that i have amd 5600x ,32gb of ram at 3600 mhz  and 2 mechanical hds 

also i found out that this psu is a high tier one according to here  psu tier list 

and what happens if i upgraded my cpu to 5800x 3d? will it be enough ?

i know it's low end cpu to pair with this gpu but the card is a gift

Id be cautious, since 3080, 3080ti, 3090 and 3090ti all have pretty high Transient spikes of 500- 700W. You may be fine, but if you find your computer suddenly powering off mid game, you may need to upgrade to a 1000W or  greater.

 

Also the 5600x is usually a fine CPU, i wouldnt consider it low end, the 5800x3D is the top AMD chip for gaming at least so it should utilize it better, but that all comes down to what resolution and game that you play.

 

Also are you sure you want to upgrade to a 3080ti? Since they are coming down in price quite fast

will the card is a gift i'm not buying it as for resolution it's 1440p and as for the games pretty much every AAA title hitman,tomb raider cyberpunk stuff like that i'm not competitive gamer at all

You already have the PSU, so just try using it. Make sure to use separate cables for each connector, as one of the ways Seasonic cut cost on the PSU was by using thin wires and low end connectors compared to other PSUs.

Should be fine. Use as much cables to the GPU as possible. No daisy chain.
