Statements about the new LTT Video

Going_AFK

I really do like the fact that you guys touched on switch emulation on the deck, as a deck user I personally have used it quite a bit for playing games like kirby and the forgotten lands and mario odyssey but I want to point out a few things that should have been in the video instead.

1. Emudeck
https://www.emudeck.com/
One of the best ways to emulate on steam deck, it configures all emulators and more. For things like yuzu and ryjujinx you still need to dump your keys but showing off emudeck and its capabilities is in my personal opinion a better youtube video. With testing out emulation from each platform to be included in the video. Like WiiU emulation on Cemu even though it isnt native it runs really well. I personally even dumped my wii u online files and are able to play online with friends on cemu. With the use of emudeck collections can also be made (but this is using the steam rom manager aswell). Not to mention file paths already made for ease on the user:image.thumb.png.73c0cd5671da176435376bdd25ad86ce.pngimage.thumb.png.708b54ab27449227c798900203f17fd9.png

The showcase of this software with controller inputs mapped and even motion support in splatoon for the wii u ( I havent tried

In my personal opinion this would make it a more better as a video to show to capability of the community making this amazing product with an active helpful discord. I think a full show of emudeck would have been more better then the current video, even though I do understand that this video was more to stick it to nintendo and an informational piece about how users can dump their own games and use it on other hardware and how nintendo is flawed in their reasoning on why it is illegal.

2. Switch homebrew
I think a link mentioning the website instead of the discord would have been more useful for users
There are two guides for users, I have personally used both:
https://switch.homebrew.guide/
https://nh-server.github.io/switch-guide/

The serial number also has a community made look serial for users to check if the switch has been unpatched, patched or possibly patched (Meaning that it was around the timeframe that nintendo has been patching the firmware on new switches):
https://ismyswitchpatched.com/

Another way of telling what switch you had if it was patched or unpatched was via the box art, the older box art (White box) are models that are modable and the new box (The red one) are models with the new and improved battery life, but it is not modable at all, although there has been hardware mods that uses modchips but it is considered risky at best but alot of people in the community has done it and I have not found any definitive guides only pictures of people's success (This is still not a recommendation)

Overall I think there could be better research put into the video for even the smaller stuff, as a person in this community for the deck hope to see better content, if I am wrong about anything or misguided please DM me GoingAFK#7116 would love to talk

Here is the steam deck discord, alot of frequent and helpful users.

If LTT has any thought that there could be a legal battle because of the video, they might have left this out just to not drag another company into their self created mess.
