Fractal Design Torrent Compact support 280mm radiator?

Planning an upgrade for my PC so I can play use 4k and games upscaled to 4k soon. Good news is that I only need a new GPU upgrade as CPU won't be a bottleneck. Bad news is that 4 years later after my miniITX build, GPU's have become so power hungry everyone makes 3 slot cards, which of course don't fit my case. Maximum GPU width is 44mm.

To keep costs down I'd like to reuse as much as possible. I have 2 cases that I am fond of, the Corsair Crystal 570X RGB Mirror and the Fractal Design Torrent Compact. There's just the compatibility questions. Will they fit my 280mm radiator?

570X seems like it could, as in I've seen reviewers saying case can fit 140mm fans so I assume why not a 280mm radiator? Saying that, the Torrent is slowly winning me over. As for the Torrent how does the 2x180mm fan compatibility work with the 280mm radiator? Does it fit with the included 180mm fans or I have to get some new brackets and fans to fit existing 140mm fans? If I can't use the 180mm fans is there even a point in me buying the RGB version and if I need to move the 180mm fans can they go in the bottom with ATX motherboard?

And here's the upgrade I'm thinking of. Most likely a Toxic or Red Devil 6900XT, unless new 40 series cards have relevant pricing and have noticeable performance gains. Shame 2700X isn't supported on B550 motherboards, far better, far cheaper options in that range. Will get new RAM someday else.

Both support 280mm rads.

280mm Radiators don't use 180mm fans, they use 2x 140mm fans. You won't need any new brackets to use a 280mm rad in the Torrent Compact, but you will need 140mm fans, though if you're going for an AIO, they will come with fans anyway.

Nice, thank you. So Torrent supports 280mm but I've gotta use my own 140mm fans not a combo of 180mm fans with a 280mm radiator.

For the 570X, where is this placement. As front rad, top rad or..?

 Yeah, 280mm radiators are 2x 140mm = 280mm. To use 180mm fans, you'd need a 360mm rad that's 2x 180mm (though vast majority of 360mm rads are 3x 120mm fans).

The 570X supports 140mm fans at the top, but not 280mm rads. 280mm rad support is in the front only, same as the Torrent Compact.
