Monitor for a MacBook Air early 2015

Hi,

I looking for a monitor for my child's MacBook Air in early 2015. It has an Intel HD Graphics 6000 and up to 3840 by 2160 pixels on an external display (.https://support.apple.com/kb/sp714?locale=en_AU ). My kid likes to play Roblox and I just wonder whether a 4k display would not compromise the game performance? In the meantime I found two FHD monitors quite interesting:

1. Benq GW2480T: It seems this monitor is marketed towards children with their eye-care technologies e.g. Brightness Intelligence and Color Weakness Mode (https://www.benq.com/en-au/monitor/stylish/gw2480t.html )
2. Dell u2422h, on the other hand, seems to have better colours (100% sRGB) https://www.dell.com/en-au/shop/dell-ultrasharp-24-monitor-u2422h/apd/210-azfg/monitors-monitor-accessories

Does MacBook Air have any Brightness Intelligence or other eye-care features?

Which of the monitors would you recommend or maybe another one or should I go for a 4K monitor?

Well yeah a 7 year old laptop with just an igpu isn't going to enjoy any game at 4k. Is there any reason it needs to be 4k?

You should check what refresh rate it capable in 4K, if below 60hz will be not smooth even on OS environment. 

 

Gaming will be impact also. For such age device it is better go for 1080p or max at 1440p.

The Dell and Benq monitors above were 24" inch FHD IPS. However,  there are 27 inch FHD IPS monitors, but my concern is that these monitors might not be as sharp and therefore I thought about 4k.

For 24" - 1080p is OK.

For 27" - 1440p is Good.

 

It seems you miss out sweet spot of 1440p resolution monitor. 

 

For your age your laptop, suggest don't go any higher than 1440p.

I've heard Mac will a hard time displaying anything less than 4K due to their HiDPI rendering. It seems like 4K is the minimum resolution.
