Ryzen 5-5600g or i7-11700

Of those the 11700, but why only those options?

Both of them are poor choices

Context about the rest of the build, you budget, and what you want to do with the system would be helpful. This is a very weird comparison. There are certain circumstances where the 5600G might be a worthy buy; I struggle to think of one where the 11700 would be.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

The only scenario the 5600G is worthwhile is in absence of a GPU; in all other metrics the 11700 is just a better chip. Faster, more cores, PCIE4. Integrated video was more an issue when GPUs were scarce. Things have changed significantly though, and there's no reason to single out either one of these unless they're comparing 2 prebuilts.

the 5600g has the better upgrade path, though

Both have no real upgrade path - AM4 is dead and buying a 5600g now instead of just getting the 5600X or w/e now makes no sense either. Which is why both are poor choices.

AMD recently said, that there might be more CPUs coming for AM4.
And the 5950x is a better upgrade than the 11900k

Then why buy the 5600g now? It's overall a loss. Just get the 5950x. Or whatever else. It's wasted money to buy the 5600g.

Personally, Ryzen 5 5600 (nonx), 5700x, and 5900x are the good values right now. There's no world I'd choose the 5600g.

Discrete graphics are abundant right now.

And yet not having a GPU is a real scenario, whereas there's virtually no case for buying any 11th gen Intel chip now that 12 gen exists.

Thats true, but @Niz0909 only gave us the 2 options. I was only making a point. Just because the upgrade path is better, doenst mean its the better choice

Maybe one day we'll know if OP intends ever to use integrated graphics or as usual they respond 2 months later, if ever.

If you need integrated graphics for that, I'd just get an i5-12400 or i7-12700 and a b660. They will outperform the 5600g at everything.

But choosing between just those who....there has to be more options out there

Why the determination to get 11th gen Intel over 12th?

If for some reason your region doesn't have 12th gen, and you must have integrated graphics between the 5600G and the 11600k....it's a tough call.

They are pretty close in performance in games and stuff, with Intel having the lead here. But consider the following:

5600G:

1. Can upgrade to a faster CPU, but there are no faster CPUs currently available with iGPUs or than the 5700G, which is the limit. Possibly iGPU 7000 series, but unknown if they will be AM4. You may be stuck on PCIE3 forever. G chips also have half the L3 cache as their non-G counterparts.

2. Less expensive motherboards.

3. Less expensive cooling.

11600k/11700k:

1. Faster than the 5600G and 5700g in most metrics.

2. PCIE4.

3. More expensive motherboards.

4. More expensive cooling.

PCIE4 may not seem important now, but if you decide later to upgrade to a more powerful GPU, it may make a difference. PCIE3/4 difference already manifests in RTX 3090.

the reason why I choose 5-5600g and i5-11600k because they have igpu and their performance is better than i7-10750h.My brother have a notebook which cpu is i7-10750h when I play game on it I see than cpu usage is 20-50 percent on some games like war thunder. When I searched for i7 10750h vs 5-5600g and i5 11600k I find userbenchmark and versus.and there I find that 5 5600g and i5 11600k is better than i7 10750h without overclocking.
