$1600 for a desktop

Crumbies

Budget (including currency): 1600 USD

Country: U.S.

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Pretty much every game type

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I do have a monitor thats only 1080p but will prob get like a 1440p monitor at some point, I don't need anything but the actual desktop. If possible, but I know future proofing is kinda impossible, I would like it to last at least 5 years (performance wise) without any upgrades along the way.

Consider this

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Vktmxs

12400 is really all thats needed for gaming

Since this cpu doesn't run that hot most aftermarket coolers would probably be fine

Good mobo although although if you don't mind matx mobos then this

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/KKbTwP/msi-pro-b660m-a-ddr4-micro-atx-lga1700-motherboard-pro-b660m-a-ddr4

Would be about 30 dollars less

Cheapest 32gig kit of ram, although you would probably be hard pressed to have full utilization of it, I put it for redundancy

Cheap 1tb m.2 storage although more can be added down the line
