Windows setup freeze

Go to solution Solved by PatPat2,

Ok, managed to do it.

I had to make a new flash drive and use it to run the setup.

Hi, I am trying to install Windows 10 on my new build but it keeps freezing during setup.

I run the 64bit setup, it loads the files and then goes to the normal Windows logo loading screen (the one with the dots) but freezes immediately afterwards.

I am running this off a USB.

I have read that having too many things pluged in can cause this issue. So I unplugged everything that isn't necessary.

I have nothing but the USB, a keyboard and a monitor plugged in.

Another thing that apparently may cause issues is having too much RAM.

I normally have 32Gb but I took one stick out to test this.

Running the setup with 16Gb instead of 32 seemed to help a bit as it took a bit longer before it froze. (1 full spin instead of nothing at all).

I have looked for ways of lowering my memory even further through BIOS settings but couldn't find anything.

As I don't have any spare RAM that is under 16Gb to throw in it I don't really know what else to do.

Q:

How can I stop the setup from freezing and successfully install windows?
