Help: CTR TV doesn't turn on

July1234

Hi, I have a CRT TV that makes a weird noise every second or so, but doesn't turn on, the sound appears to be coming from the power supply, any recommendations on what to do?

If you're referring to a CRT TV...
It's probably NOT worth fixing as repair parts are rare or uncommon (haven't been made in years), the expertise to fix it is literally dying and LCD panels are relatively cheap.

Welcome to the forums!
Your video won't play for me but abnormal clicking is usually related to a flyback failure. Usually looking at a $100+ part right there, plus you'd need a soldering station and know how to work on a CRT without getting seriously shocked. I don't recommend opening the TV at all.

CRT TV's have HIGH voltage components inside. Repairing them is hard due to this. If you touch the wrong thing you could DIE. If you dont know what your doing I would advise you to not repair it yourself. Most likely your better off getting a new TV.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
