I know RAM can get hot just like any other component in your computer does but it really ever get hot enough to justify liquid cooling it or putting a fan over it? I'm not considering it, I'm just curious because Corsair and, I think, a few other manufacturers have made RAM fans that can attach to the motherboard and keep it cool. I also want to ask the same question for other components too. Do other components like your HDD, SSD, motherboard, and such get hot enough to justify liquid cooling or active air cooling on it?

every thing with a PCB ,Caps, chocks ,and all other components that are involved in transferring Power,  or in overclocking and its stability ,get Hot ,and putting fans on top of the ram will cool it better the th case fans or any other nearby fan

Really high OC does heat them but in normal use such measures aren't needed. People who use liquid or air in normal use just wan't them because of looks.

If you're going to 2.4Ghz and above on the RAM speed you'll probably want more than just incidental cooling

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X - CPU Cooler: Deepcool Castle 240EX - Motherboard: MSI B450 GAMING PRO CARBON AC

RAM: 2 x 8GB Corsair Vengeance Pro RBG 3200MHz - GPU: MSI RTX 3080 GAMING X TRIO
