Clicking on last post date doesn't take you to last post (but only when logged out)

So this works as expected when logged in. If I click on the last post date on the right it takes me to the most recent post in the thread.

 

But if I'm logged out and do the same thing it takes me to the first post.

Can you post the link url (not where you get redirected but from right click -> copy link) to make sure we're looking at the same thing?

So that command is obviously missing when logged out. Its true on any thread.

This seems to be working as intended (there is deliberate code that does "if not logged in, don't generate getLastComment links"), although I'm not 100% sure why that is the case. My best guess is that it's designed to make the site better for search engines, under the assumption that if you're not logged in you probably don't need advanced functionality like that anyway.

I would argue that if you click the date/time of the most recent post, you should always be taken to the most recent post. Whether you're logged in or not. I would assume that's what that portion is there for.
