EVGA Supernova G+ 1300 VGA Cable Gauge

CT854

So, I've got a bit of a GPU addiction at this point.

In preparation for the F@H sprint, I'm preparing all of these GPUs for the event:

  • RTX 3080 (in my main rig)
  • RTX 3070 (8-pin)
  • GTX 1070 (8-pin)
  • RTX 2080 Super (8+6-pin)
  • GTX 1080 Ti (8+8-pin)

All of the cards except for the 3080 is going to be run from the same rig using risers. Not the point of this thread. The point is that the Supernova G+ 1300 comes with 6 VGA ports on the PSU, and 4x 8-pin VGA cables and 2x 8+8-pin pigtailed VGA cables.

My question is, are the cables on the G+ 1300 high quality enough for me to pigtail the 2080 Super and the 1080 Ti using the 8+8 cables? I tried finding information on this but it got... confusing.

It's entirely possible that I misinterpreted/misread your topic and/or question. This happens more often than I care to admit. Apologies in advance.

The cables are at least 18 gauge, and they should be fine with both of those cards. It's not ideal, but it's definitely good enough.
