Touchpad problem VMWare

I'm trying out Zorin on a Windows laptop via VMWare Workstation 16 and the only thing that's an issue currently is that it sees my internet connection as wired although it's WiFi but more importantly the fact that it refuses to recognise my laptop's touchpad for scrolling. I can right click, left click, and move the cursor, but the two-fingered scroll move doesn't work. Is that a known thing? I can't seem to find anyone else complaining about it.

Did you install the vmware drivers on the guest os?

Thats because it sees the virtual network card vmware gives it, not the wifi card on your laptop.

I have to be honest I don't know. I just let it install.
