Multi HDD Box (DAS)

Hello,

 

I have been looking for a long time for a good HDD box that does not need to have RAID and that is not a NAS but a DAS.
I have looked at several but they all usually have very bad reviews and problems with cooling.
I would like it to have USB C between 4 and 5 bays and not be too expensive (there are many that have good reviews but are usually Thunderbolt).

I currently have a WD Duo and it is a real piece of junk and disconnects very often due to problems with cooling.

I use the hard drives for a Plex server (with a Mac mini).

Can you help me please?

What you are looking for is referred to as a JBOD (Just a bunch of disks).

Just googling "usb-c jbod" seems to return useful and relevant results, such as this link.

Actually the solution I should use if I knew it.
What I was looking for is some recommendation because I keep reading reviews and opinions about Orico, Sabrent, TerraMaster and almost everyone talks about problem with cooling.
The only products I find with higher scores are NAS but they are quite expensive and I don't need an integrated server but HDD enclosures.
