Budget: 2000 USD

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Blendr, Heavily modded Skyrim, Halo Infinite, Destiny 2, RDR2, Minecraft w/shaders and powerful texture packs. This will eventually be used for 3D modeling (not animating) once I get a 3080ti.

Other details: Right now I am only buying the computer. I already have the peripherials that I need such as a keyboard, mouse, and everything else. I have a list of the components im looking to get, I was just hoping to double check with this forum before I really go with it. In this list of equipment, I am not listing a graphics card since I already have one. At the moment, Im using a ROG STRIX 1660 Super and plan on upgrading to a 3080ti in a year. One thing I am looking for however is a new monitor as well. Im looking for something that has HDR, can do 1440p at 120hz or more, and is at least 30 inches. I very much enjoy sight seeing games with fancy graphics.

Below is the list of components im thinking of using:
CPU: Ryzen 9 5900X 12 Core 24 Threads

I would love to hear your monitor suggestions below!

EDIT: Under the storage section that I have, I realized that I made a bit of a mistake with the links. The first link is for the barracuda drive. The second link is for a sabrent rocket 500GB SSD. For context, I already own one of the Barracuda drives and the 2TB Cruical SSD. It is from my existing computer which I will put in my new one. The reason why im upgrading from 6-10 TB is simple. Its because Im a data hoarder XD. The 500GB sabrent drive is going to be used as a boot SSD

Another edit: My big question is with clearance issues with the GPU I have, the case, and the NHD15 dual tower cooler im thinking of using. I hope its not too big of a problem and Im just worrying about nothing.

There's gonna be new cpus and gpus out next year and buy the 5900x now is probably gonna feel silly when the 7600x ends up gaming better.  Do you have a full system already?  If so, reusing the 1660 is gonna give you the same experience you're getting now for most stuff unless you have a single threaded quad core or less for your CPU.  WHy a year?  There are plenty of good GPUs available now for a reasonable price.  You could cut back on this parts lists a little and get a good GPU now, making for a much better year.

I edit the shit out of my posts.  Refresh before you respond.

right now my biggest bottleneck in this thing is the CPU. Its an old quad core intel 4590 that is really starting to show its age. From what I have seen from the perfomance indicators, the CPU is what is holding me back so far in both gaming and content creation power. Now that I think about it, a 5900 is a bit overzealous for sure. I could easily get away with a Ryzen 7 of some sort and still have a much better time than what Im using right now. The PC im using now is about 6 or 7 years old give or take and the newest thing inside it is the GPU

Dud e if you did a 12400 or a 5600and more reasonable parts all around, you could get your whole computer right now with like a 3070ti or the likes, and you'd not be waiting a year to do anything, as the 1660ti is gonna be pedestrian compared to everything else on  that parts list.  Hell the 6750Xt that just came out today is extremely impressive for $550.  If your coming from a 1660ti, literally anything you can get right now is gonna be A LOT faster.  Like, you'd be absolutely shocked how far GPUs have come in the last few years.  I sold my crossfire vega 64s last winter and got a single 6600.  Despite having less gross computer performance than a single vega, every single game runs at a higher framerate.

Like each core on the 12400 or 5600 is about twice as fast as that 4590, and the sku is bigger.

Go for the 5700X cpu and the NH-D15S cpu cooler. I would also recommend a new gpu now, and the RTX 3070Ti should fit very nicely into your budget. The 140mm Corsair fans are for the front of the case, which should be mounted as intake fans. The NZXT H510 Flow will have better airflow than the H510 Elite.

You can go with the cheaper MSI PRO B660M-A DDR4 and save some money there if you don't want the extra features that come with the Tomahawk.

The 3080 is still pretty overpriced, but prices are trending down so waiting a few weeks might get you a better price, another alternative is to keep the 1660S until Nvidia releases the next generation of GPUs.

Actually, that really doesnt sound too bad. Might as well just do a full overall upgrade. With all these parts in mind, what would be a good display to go along with this set up?

1440p 144hz monitor. Make sure the panel is VA or IPS and that the response time is 4ms or less.
