Would a 3070ti be overkill?

Would a 3070ti be a bit overkill for my parts? If yes, please tell me what to upgrade.

CPU : i7-7700

CPU COOLING : Custom Water Loop

GPU : GTX 1080 (Currently)

MTB : GA-Z270x Gaming 5

PSU : 750W EVGA Supernova G2, 80+ Gold

RAM : 3200mhz Corsair Vengeance

STORAGE : 250GB SAMSUNG 970 EVO (boot drive)

STORAGE : 1TB SAMSUNG 870 EVO

A 3070 Ti would be better than the 1080, but you will likely be quite a bit CPU bottlenecked in a lot of games. Get a CPU upgrade to something like a 12400(F).

Don't think you'll have any issue, the 7700K is a good 4 cores

 

Especially if you're playing @1440p where you're always GPU limited

Depends on the usage or what games , id say you would barley notice bottlenecks in most graphic intense games at high -4k- res

 

in lower res tho there would be considerable bottlenecks
