Display detection

fedaccio96

Ho everyone

I've got this old display which i m using to extend my principal one. The metter Is that It only works if I restart the PC. Everytime I have to start the PC and the second display doesnt work, but then I restart and magically It works. Drivers updates already checked.

Is there a way to maybe force Windows 10 to detect It ?

Thank you very much

You'll need to provide more info for people to be able to help you. What is "this" display (i.e. monitor brands/types/names)? Also, what GPU… and how are the displays connected?

Ok sure! GPU Is MSI Nvidia GeForce GT 710. The principal monitor HP connected via HDMI. The second monitor INNO HIT IH24916TD17BF led slim (dual TV/PC monitor) connected by VGA.

That's probably the reason why. VGA is a very old standard for monitor connections. Likely the card doesn't properly detect the monitor when it's plugging in while already running. Not sure you can solve that on the Windows side of things, more likely a hardware limitation.
