Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: 1440p Gaming for new games

Other details: Hello, what CPU would you recommend for solid 1440p gaming on a z590-I ROG Strix motherboard? I have a spare gtx 1070 that I plan on using it with. I also intend to go for a small form factor build. Thus I need cooling and case advice too. Thanks.

Did you already buy the z590i? That thing doesn't support intel 12th gen processors, and 11 and 10th gen are really really meh, even if for dirt cheap.

What is that list? You are wasting 3x the money for the cooler, and to top it all of the case is not even itx, completely making the expensive itx motherboard the op has meaningless.

If he already has an itx motherboard, and wants to go small form factor, i would recommend Sharkoon C10, which while not available in america, is cheap and good itx case in europe.

The case supports up to 240mm radiator, so if he would go that route then the arctic 240 AIO, not coolermaster or corsair rgb monstrosities, again in europe arctic is cheaper than in USA, but very good.

I only see your reply if you @ me.

I wouldn't use the H100i elite Capellix. It doesn't mount properly so it creates a constant hum when it is on that is pretty annoying. I'm personally saving to replace mine with an EK AIO.

Ql300 is just a horrible case like its bigger brother ql500. Avoid if at all possible.

I assumed the motherboard and gpu you already have didn’t count towards the price. The Lian Li h20 is a great small case, but you can also go with the nr200 if you want more storage/cooling (unneeded with the cpu I picked). I’m not sure what prices are like in Armenia, but if you need to cut costs bring the storage down to 1TB, lower the ram to 16gb, or swap in an i5 instead of i7.

Do you already own the Strix z590-I motherboard? Because if you don't, you might want to consider a different motherboard.

What model is the GTX 1070? At least how long and tall is it? It affects SFF case choice.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
