It's not bad, it's just that you can get a 3080 Ti for the price you paid for the 3080 12GB. The card itself if fine, it's just about $100-200 too expensive. If you paid $1000-1100 for it, you did alright.

OK, on to the actual recommendations.

  1. The i5 12400 is just as fast but a bit cheaper
  2. The NH-U12S is a little overkill for the 5600X and 12400.
  3. The Sabrent Rocket performs about as well as the 970 Evo but is $20 less

Doing that should get you an upgraded monitor

This, 12400 really doesn't even need aftermarket cooling, but if you're gonna get one for either it or the 5600x, there are plenty of options in the ~$45 range that will look cool and keep temps low enough for precision boost to keep either running at max frequency under load.

I edit the shit out of my posts.  Refresh before you respond.

Did you paste the wrong link?

Heres my take, but you could also go amd with a 5900x + b550m aorus pro p, do not bother with asus meme tier boards cause overpriced and theres superior boards for less or far superior boards for a tad more

Lmao it happens

Though 2400mhz ram???

fixed again.

It's 4AM, cut me some slack. the one above that kit was 3200MHz and the CAS on this one was 16, so I assumed "yes, that's 3200MHz CL16"

I should just go to sleep.

The ID-Cooling SE-224-XT Basic is cheaper than the CoolerMaster Hyper 212. There is also the ThermalRight Peerless Assassin 120 for $41.30 on Amazon.

That board doesn't make any sense with a 'K' cpu. Also it is overpriced considering you can get Z690 boards such as the MSI PRO Z690-A Wifi, Gigabyte Z690 UD AX and Asus Prime Z690-P Wifi for a few $ less.

The Samsung 980 is not that good. The Sabrent Rocket 1TB is available for the same price.

I would go with an i7 12700F and B660 board instead of an i5 'K' and H670 board. Actually works out slightly cheaper.
