Budget (including currency): $250

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Home/Personal PC, light video/photo editing, Star Wars: The Old Republic

Other details: Ok, so this will be my first build. I’m wanting to build a PC for gaming, light media editing, and personal pc usage (word, excell, streaming, etc.) I have everything picked out but I keep waffling on the case selection. I was originally going to use the Cooler Master HAF XB EVO because I love the HDD hot-swap feature, dual 5.25” optical drive spots, and it’s rugged look. However, I want to have a case that also has some tempered glass so I can see inside, along with some RGB. So, I’m posing this question to all of you out there in the LTT community, what case should I pick? It has to have at least one front 5.25” optical drive slot, one side tempered glass, and nothing too ostentatious………..

No more than 120$ as thats diminishing returns for case quality for a given size (not a bigger case)

You could just mod that case with an acrylic sidepanel, not even a hard mod to do just order big enough acrylic sheet and stick it on your case, if you want easier then mosquito mesh like me since you just cut it up and stick it to the case with magnets, itll also preserve airflow or just straight up turn your case into an open bench airflow wise so you dont even need any fans other than cpu cooler
