Can you do SLI on Pci 2.0 x16 and a x8 slot

the21robot

The motherboard is SLI compatible, but they dont mention if it is compatible for sand bridge cpus (Instead of PCI express 3.0 they run at 2.0). My question is, can you do sli with a PCI 2.0 x16 and a x8

Yes, it'll work perfectly fine and have next to no performance drop running a card in an 8x slot.

It'll work just fine. Nvidia's min spec is dual 8x PCIe 1.0 so you are well above that.

They just have to be electrically 8 lane sockets. PCI-E revision doesn't matter
