H110 with 7700k??

Hi, i have an MSI H110M PRO-D and use a pentium g4560 with it.

The best CPU i can use with the board is the i7 7700k. Can i run it on the board without overheating the vrms? (Hyper212 cpu cooler)

Sure but how much are you getting the 7700k for? Most times it's cheaper to move platform than the get a 7700.

For 150 you are quite close to a 10100 + board or even better a 12100f (around 100€) + a board for a bit more but it's better and you have a very clear and broad upgrade path.

 

150€ for a 7700k on a low end h110 board that might not do well is just a bad deal.
