I'm upgrading from an Asrock Z390 Pro4 (Intel socket 1151, 9700K CPU) to an Asus ROG Maximus Z690 Hero (Intel socket LCA 1700, 12900K CPU). I already have a Corsair H100i Platinum AIO cooler. Do I need to get a retrofit mounting kit to make sure that the old cooler can attach to the new motherboard and fit the new CPU socket? If so, could you please link me to the appropriate kit? Thank you!

yes, if the aio was purchased before lga 1700, you will need a kit to make it work. it's this one afaik: https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Accessories-|-Parts/PC-Components/Cooling/LGA1700-Retrofit-Kit/p/CW-8960091

also, you made 3 post for one question.
