Looks great would just change the GPU to be bit cheaper of a 3070 ti like an MSI one. Plus in my opinion I think the MSI one looks better. Either a ventus 3x or gaming x trio. If you want it to be cheaper, get a cheaper MOBO and RAM kit.

build looks solid. but for heavy video editing especially in premiere pro or after effects, i’d recommend adding 2 more ssds. One that is 500GB-1TB purely for your scratch disk/cache, and one more 1-2TB to put your video files on. I’d avoid working off the boot drive if possible for better performance.

I just want to see what people do, it's a very flexible build, if I'm convinced to spend more I'll spend more, if I'm convinced to save money I'll save money, purely depends on what people do with it, and I'm curious to see what that may be

well each person is going to make a build that THEY like vs what you want so it could be very helpful to have some guidelines

For example , I'd reuse a much older case and mod it as I don;t want to use stock cases that other people use becuase they are boring. However , you may not like that idea at all. So it'd be helpful for people to know what things are off the table

Since they included a parts list with a case If I had to guess it is probably the look that they would like.

Could consider swapping out that AIO for something like one of Noctua's high end offerings. Generally perform the same, if not better, ought to be a little quieter, and roughly 1/3 the cost. But they're huge (and sometimes ugly, but they're getting better!). 🙂

You could scale back to a Ryzen 7 offering and still get great performance in AAAs and editing. Downscaling RAM to 3000-3200 wouldn't hurt. Frankly, the (good) motherboards are all $200+ nowadays, though the ASRock Steel Legion I've been eyeing has been about $50 cheaper than your current listed board.

Ryzen 7 2700X | ZOTAC 3070 AMP HOLO | 32GB Corsair LPX 3000MHz | SeaSonic 620W PSU | ASRock B350 Pro4 | Too many SSDs

I think the cooler is more for looks. But I am not sure, that is why I got mine with the LCD.

It is, I'm willing to sacrifice some performance for looks, I don't care for very high performing builds, if I can't look at what I built and be blown away by it. This Is why I went with asus rog for my last system.

It's giving me the results I want so far, so it should be fine

I would splurge an go all NVMe storage. If 4TB is too over budget, perhaps settle for 2TB.

Could be, though it goes back to the topic of cutting costs. If the budget is strict, paying 3x the amount for comparable performance is rough, though I personally am no stranger to spending extra for aesthetics. 🙂 That said, Noctua is slowly but surely inching away from the days of white/brown fans. Nothing RGB yet, but maybe soon (tm).
