Cloning OS Drive

I'm looking for the best procedure to clone my OS drive

For whatever reason my OS (win 10) crashs and dies without any chance to repair/recover frequently (every few months)

Its a pain to reinstall everything all the time.

If I can clone a fully installed C drive to an external drive, for easy duplication the next time the OS dies on me.

What software is recommended to do this? And what is the procedure. 

Since the clone will be on an external SSD, how would I copy this onto the internal SSD?

Not quite sure a cloned drive is the solution here since you obviously have a larger issue. Not quite sure what is meant by the OS dying but here's a tutorial for what you want to do.
