First PC Build monitor

Go to solution Solved by da na,

Could always update the monitor later. 1920x1080 is still standard, and you've basically got the 4:3 version (with 1920x1200) so that'll be fine

I am currently building my first PC and already own a hp z24i monitor. I would like to know if it is an ok starting monitor, because my PC will have more up to date graphics and parts that won't be able to use their full potential with an older monitor.

Use what you have until you have a solid idea of what you want to upgrade to--and have saved up for it.  No point in blowing money for a half-baked stop-gap, when you realize after 18 months with it that you want another upgrade.
