Do you already own the 2060?

Is there a reason you want to save 20$ with the KF  variant? I really enjoy having the igpu for any troubleshooting.

You may want 32 GB if you intend do do much photo work, but otherwise if its a Touch and go, 16 gb should be enough.

Are you really sure you want to be spending 130$ on fans when you could spend that elsewhere and get better components potentially ?

There are a couple things that I see wrong with this build

  1. That cooler is not enough for that CPU. Go for a dual tower cooler at the minimum, and a 360mm AIO is not a bad option given how hot these 12 then CPUs run, especially when overclocked.
  2. Avoid Gigabyte Z690 DDR4 boards, they have quite a few issues with memory support and can be a bit of a pain to work with. Also that board is really expensive for the features it offers.
  3. I'd go for a faster memory kit. 3200MHz is fine, but faster memory does make a difference on Alder Lake.
  4. For this budget, I'd really want something faster than a 2060
  5. The budget for the fans can be used to bring the GPU from a 2060 to a 3060 Ti, a much faster card. If you want RGB, get a few $10 light strips instead of using $100 worth of fans.

This system is quite a bit faster.

In my opinion you’ve made a few very bad choices that could be halved in price; the monitor is not particularly good for the price and I’ve found one just as good for $100 less, and I’ve found some RAM that runs at 3200 for literally half your price, from Crucial. (edit, thought it was 16gb but the ram kit in the person I responded to’s list is 32gb) Still 2x8gb, tho. You’ve also made some great choices and I stuck with those.

The monitor I didn't adjust from OPs original suggestion (not a monitor guy, can tell the difference between IPS and TN but that's about it).

The RAM though, yeah that kit of 3200MHz is half the price, but it's also half the capacity. For Photoshop work, 32GB can be useful, plus I'd just want to have the extra capacity at this price range.

oh damn I thought you stuck with 3600 16gb, as I thought they asked for 16gb. Didn’t read carefully enough. My bad.

If you want a ryzen build this is what I would suggest

https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/tGqH2m

There is still about 130$ left for a better GPU. or RGB [which looks nice, but only adds to the cost, so in my opinion it is not needed]

You can also swap the motherboard for a cheaper one. but since I do not know how tech savvy you are, I went the Foolproof route, and chose a MB without video ports

I would also suggest you to get a set or 2 of Silicone Dust covers

http://aliexpress.com/item/1005004145835626.html?

Then if you get a cheaper motherboard, you can plug off the video ports on the motherboard, just to prevent yourself from accidentally using them.
