Is this normal?

Go to solution Solved by IAmNik,

Some cores will be hotter than others, thats normal but whatre you maxing your CPU out on? that thing is fully zooted lol

AWW ok, makes sense now! Those temps arent bad, the 88 is alittle up there but still should be ok. What AIO are you using?

msi mpg coreliquid 360k, and the reason I ask is, i dont recall the temps being that much off when i first built this pc and ran prime 95. so i wondered maybe its a shitty paste application. im not too concerned tho, ill literally never run anything that utilizes the cpu that much ever.. this is just testing under the worst possible conditions, if need be.

That or the pump isnt tight enough. "Screw down, screw down to Chinatown" lmao of course dont over tighten but a reapplication of thermal paste and and a good tighten could possibly help!

I recommend Thermal Grizzly for thermal paste.

I noticed that some of my cores temps are quite higher than the others, could this be a thermal paste problem? or is this usually normal?

Nice one on that color scheme there. 😄 (mine still on the standard.)

Also not knowing your actual CPU, its harder to say. But since you have that many cores i'm guessing its a CPU where they use the chiplet design.
Thus having actual separated dies under the heat-spreader thus making it able to have varying temperatures. Its pretty normal.

As you can see for me it also shows separate temps for seperate cores.

When i ask for more specs, don't expect me to know the answer!
