would the 5775C be supported by Windows XP?

So long as you wrote a driver for it.

It'd actually be easier to make whatever xp program you want to run compatible with a newer version of windows vs the latter

Not well and I doubt it. The 5775C was released after Windows XP lost support.

The 5775C was good back in 2015, but even then it wasn't a ton better than the best AMD APUs in terms of graphics performance. https://www.techspot.com/review/1028-intel-core-i7-5775c-broadwell/page7.html

It's not supported by xp and there are no drivers for it so it won't function well at all.

Compared to the 5600g yeah no it's a slaughter in terms of gpu performance the vega 7 can be over 2x better.

Either way neither cpu is supported in xp and neither gpu is supported in xp and there is no driver so it so they will not function properly and there will be NO gpu acceleration.

What is the purpose of this project?

Funsies

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

What the purpose of the project? Best xp machine or something? If thats it sandy bridge is about as far as it goes in terms of cpu, board, audio,... support. The gtx 900 series also has some xp drivers. Either way you are limited to 3.85 gb of ram due to the 32bit operating system. Yes xp 64 bit exists but it might as well not have as it's beyond a mess of an operating system and most of the reasons you'd want to use xp for don't work on it.

It really was just a funsies proposition. Tiny little combo Linux HTPC and XP retro box using an old LGA1150 ITX board I may be getting my hands on. If the 5775C doesn’t have a driver, eh, I asked the question at least.
