The 12700F is a much faster CPU than the 5600X, motherboard should be similar feature set. Saved $5 on RAM. Wouldn't really recommend anything less than a 1TB boot SSD given current SSD prices, so added a pretty strong SSD. Swapped out the PSU for something a bit better, and swapped out the case for something very similar but $40 less (I've built in both, internally they're very similar with how you build in them and how well they're built, the front panel is a little more interesting on the Fractal but that's about the only difference. Only reason I see to get the Meshify C over the P300A is if you want the system in white since the P300A isn't available in white)

That should put you right at the $1300 budget. I'd probably add in a cooler for that CPU since it will run very warm with the stock cooler and you can get a good enough cooler for ~$30 that should be compatible right out of the box. It's not strictly necessary though, especially if you want to save some money and just get the i5 12400F instead (gaming performance will be basically identical, unless you do something production oriented the 12400F with the stock cooler is probably your best bet and just spend the rest of the money on games or a better monitor).

I would recommend much more storage than 500GB, especially if you plan on playing a lot of games. Helps to not have to redownload a lot. Make sure you connect the video cable to the graphics card, and not the motherboard itself, as well. I went with a non-F intel cpu, so you can use the iGPU for easier troubleshooting in the future, if the need arises.

Stock cooler is barely adequate so def get a cheap tower atleast, se 224 xt will work well though gammax gte has rgbs (se 224 xt also has an rgb version if you can find that for cheap enough)

Also slight overbudget but some small cost cuts and df700 flux has 5 fans included compared to the p300a single rear fan so no need to buy more fans just to get proper airflow

Why are you suggesting 11th gen, when 12th gen is a similar price and much better ?

It's cheaper and fits their budget. You don't ALWAYS have to go with the latest gen, especially if you can save some money here and there. I'm pretty sure that $1300 budget includes the $500 they already spent on the gpu, so it's better to go with solid hardware at a great price.

If you call $5 a deal breaker then yeah it is cheaper :old-eyeroll:
