Can confirm there was another thread merged into that thread at around 14:35 UTC yesterday which lines up with your notification time. This was about 30 minutes after the thread first was posted.

Viewing notifications

 

What happened?

Notification for a tech news post on the RTX 3090ti was duplicated

What did you expect to happen?

No duplicate notifications

I presume that is because there was another post created on that which was merged into the post that we see now.

That makes sense because I’ve seen duplicate notifications before I just ignored them. It’s the 3rd time it’s happened so I thought I’d report it in case it’s some bug.
